If you have used a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device a couple of times then you know its impressive power. CPAP is not a new concept, it was actually used to treat Polio patients back in the 1950s.

Since then it has evolved and now it is used for fatigued respiratory patient. Applying this device early enough can save your patient from intubation, and the long term risks of being intubated.

In this video you'll see CPAP works to relieve lung fatigue, the contraindications to using CPAP, and the benefits of using CPAP early.

Enjoy!
